A Joint Session of FM-31 Students with Peers from the University of Mons (Belgium) and Mechnikov Odesa National University

On November 13, 2024, the FM-31 student group held another joint session with students from the University of Mons (Belgium). This time, students from the I.I. Mechnikov Odesa National University also joined the meeting. The session’s theme was a presentation of their hometowns.

During the event, Ukrainian students delivered presentations in French about the history, architecture, notable landmarks, and cultural events of Ivano-Frankivsk and Odesa. In return, Belgian students gave presentations in Ukrainian about Mons, highlighting its attractions, traditions, and aspects of local life. This exchange not only enhanced language skills but also fostered cultural awareness and broadened participants’ horizons. The session provided a valuable opportunity for attendees to

practice a foreign language in real-life conditions, make new friends, and learn more about the countries and cities they are studying.

The organizing instructors were: Tetiana Smushak (Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University), Liudmyla Diachuk (University of Mons), and Lilita Kokkina (I.I. Mechnikov Odesa National University).
