Student Misha reads with excitement: “Makovytsia… The name of the peak comes from the word makivka — meaning the top, summit, crest, highland, or pinnacle.”
The staff and students of the French Philology Department enjoyed an excursion to the picturesque Prykarpattia region, visiting the town of Yaremche, the Makovytsia Peak, the modern Gedz Park of Legends, and the Probiy Waterfall.
We warmly welcome our first-year students to the Francophone team of
Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University!
Our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved! Here’s to new academic heights, motivation, and inspiration for studying foreign languages (French and English), Romance philology, and drawing strength and energy from the Carpathians to bring all plans and ideas to life!
Until next time!
